Best Scrunchie Bands For Working Out

When you are working out and moisture gets trapped in your wrist (or any other part of your body) that’s when you are mostly likely to break out into a skin reaction/rash.

Since I started Scrunchie Time, I’ve only worn scrunchie bands and never looked back. But of course I have to back my own product right?

But I’ve actually done a half marathon, and I’m about to tell you in which band I did it in a bit later…..

Let’s talk about the velvet fabric, because personally, this is my favourite fabric to wear. It’s probably the most comfortable fabric, great for smaller wrists and I am a sucker for tie-dye so the unicorn band was my favourite and honestly, still is.

However, when you are working out and you get sweaty, the sweat actually absorbs into the velvet fabric, so it can make your wrist feel hot (not super hot that it is an issue, but enough for you to feel a little irritated). So maybe for your super high intensity sweaty workout, it would be good to opt out of the velvet fabric (I still love to workout in this fabric, but I like to wash it after so it doesn’t smell)

Okay, lets talk about a band that is surprisingly a good workout choice. The disco band. Guys, can I just say this band is the most underrated band on the website. It is honestly such a great band all round, its black, but its sparkle, it does not itch and it can literally go with your everyday outfit.

I gave this band to a friend when she got her first Garmin, and this chick runs a lot!

And she had used the disco band for months, never washed it, and it didn’t even smell.

Now, it be honest, the fabric looks like the sparkles are coming out of the fabric and gonna irritate the skin, but they don’t! This fabric is so durable, great for everyday wear and working out, honestly, add it to your cart!

Let’s talk about the silk fabric….

I’ve started to try and get into running again this year and I can confidently say (I mean, we’re 1 week in) I’ve stuck to one of my new year goals already (just one!).

I thought I would test the silk fabric(my choice of the week was the Pocahontas band, its beautiful).

So, after a 8km run, the band is pretty wet of sweat. It didn’t smell, but I wanted to wash it anyway because I thought it could get pretty smelly the next day.

If the band fits your wrist perfectly, I would recommend washing it with warm tap water, and if the band is a bit too small you can pop it in the washing machine (the washing machine can stretch the elastic and make the band bigger).

But my favourite fabric for working out (the band I ran for 2 hours in) is the MESH fabric.

Honestly, this fabric has tiny little hole in it, so the material doesn’t absorb the sweat! It literally felt like nothing on my wrist the entire half marathon. Highly recommend this fabric for your high intensity sweat workouts or a 2 hour run!!
